Basic Fields

Use Basic Fields for simple input types that cover most daily data collection.

Basic Fields are the default choice for most Edmissa setup work. They store one value or one clear set of choices.

Use Basic Fields before you consider grouped or repeating structures.

When To Use Basic Fields

Use Basic Fields when the value can be captured with one input, one choice list, one file, or one number.

Examples for Student Visa Processing include Passport Number, Primary Email, Application Deadline, University Name, Offer Status, Tuition Deposit, and Visa Outcome.

When Not To Use Basic Fields

Do not force a Basic Field when users need to enter several related parts or several repeated rows. Use Compound Fields, Repeating Fields, or Custom Fields instead.
