Use Currency for money values.
Currency stores a money value and can show currency formatting.

Configure
Currency settings can use the location default currency or one specific currency. You can show or hide the currency symbol and decide whether negative values are allowed.
Use Number when the value is numeric but not money.
Validation
Currency can use Minimum Value and Maximum Value.
Use Minimum Value when negative amounts should not be accepted.
