Compound Fields create a ready made group of related subfields. They are useful when the provided structure matches the way your agency collects information.
Field Types In This Category

When To Use Compound Fields
Use Compound Fields when users need to enter a known group of related details and the group should stay together.
For example, Emergency Contact works well when the agency needs a complete emergency contact block instead of separate unrelated fields.
When Not To Use Compound Fields
Do not use a compound field if you only need one part of it. If you only need a phone number, use Phone. If you only need an email address, use Email.
Configuration Notes
Compound Fields use templates. The template controls the included subfields. Validation for template subfields is reviewed from the template. Use custom subfields only when the template does not match your workflow.
