Open Universities
Use this path when you want to browse university data:
- Open Settings.
- Select Universities.
- Confirm the page title is Universities.
The direct route is /t/settings/universities.
The page subtitle is Browse QS World University Rankings 2025 - Top 500 universities worldwide.
If the feature is not available for your workspace, Edmissa shows Feature Not Available and asks you to contact an administrator.
Review the overview stats
At the top of the page, Edmissa may show four summary cards:
| Card | What it means |
|---|---|
| Total Universities | The number of active universities available in the reference data. |
| Countries | The number of countries represented in the data. |
| Public | The number of public universities in the data. |
| Private | The number of private universities in the data. |
Use these cards for a quick sense of the dataset before filtering.
Understand the ranking notice
The page includes a notice titled QS World University Rankings 2025.
The notice explains that the data is sourced from QS World University Rankings 2025 and should be used as a reference when helping students choose universities for their applications.
Treat this as one input in the counseling process. Always confirm current program details, admission requirements, tuition, deadlines, and scholarship information with the university or trusted partner channel.
Search and filter universities
Use the filter area above the list:
| Control | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Search universities... | Type part of a university name, country, or code. Edmissa refreshes the list and returns to the first page. |
| All Countries | Choose a country to show only universities from that country. Choose All Countries to remove the country filter. |
Search and country filters work together. If the list looks too narrow, clear the search text or switch the country filter back to All Countries.
Read the university list
The list section is titled Universities. Its description shows how many universities are currently visible out of the filtered total.
Each row shows:
| Item | What it means |
|---|---|
| Ranking badge | The QS ranking number for the university. |
| University name | The university label shown in Edmissa. |
| Country | The country connected to the university. |
| Type | Whether the university is listed as Public or Private. |
The list is sorted by ranking. When there are multiple pages, use Previous and Next at the bottom of the list. Edmissa also shows the current page number and total page count.
Good ways to use this page
Use Universities when you need to:
- Shortlist possible destination universities with a student.
- Compare options inside a specific country.
- Check whether a university is listed as public or private.
- Find a university quickly while working on an application.
- Prepare a counseling discussion before reviewing official admission details.
Avoid using ranking alone as the deciding factor. A good student match also depends on program fit, intake timing, cost, entry requirements, location, scholarship options, and visa planning.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| The page is missing from Settings | Confirm the university data feature is enabled and your user has settings access. |

| Search returns fewer results than expected | Clear the search text and set the country filter to All Countries. |
| A ranking or program detail seems outdated | Confirm the current information with QS, the university, or an approved partner source. |
